September 25, 2019 - May 24, 2020
The blockbuster exhibition Robots from the Science Museum in London , makes its first international stop at Tekniska museet. Join us on a journey through the world of robotics, from the humble beginnings of 16th century mechanical automatons to the latest humanoids.
Interact with robots
Human-like machines are both fascinating and frightening at the same time. Why do we create machines that resemble us humans?
This intriguing exhibition features a unique collection of over 100 robots, from the earliest automatons to robots from science fiction and modern-day research labs.
Come face to face with some of the most advanced real-world robots with artificial intelligence, such as the news reader Kodomoroid, the fist-bumping Pepper the Robot and a Robothespian, who can quote lines from famous films.
Meet the classic T-800 from Terminator (1991), Maria from Fritz Lang’s Metropolis (1927), and see early automatons from the 16th century, a time when anatomical models and even clocks posed deep questions about whether the human body itself is a machine.
